Recognition for your involvement
What does it mean to recognise student involvement?
Recognising involvement in student and campus life means crediting the skills, knowledge, and abilities developed through extracurricular involvement, particularly in associations and student-led projects. This recognition has two key aspects: acknowledgment and credit attribution. To be eligible for this recognition, students must demonstrate the development of tangible skills or expertise through meaningful, primarily non-academic activities and projects.
At ECAM LaSalle, the body responsible for defining the terms of this recognition is the school’s Student Life Commission.
Recognition of student and campus life and community involvement includes all measures aimed at acknowledging the actions and skills gained through such experiences.
It may also help students balance their academic workload with their involvement, for instance through flexible timetables.
At ECAM LaSalle, the following measures are in place:
- ECTS credits awarded at the end of the course and recorded in the diploma supplement
- Training for association members on topics such as team management, recruitment, and budget handling
These courses (UE) grant ECTS credits as follows:
- UE on Recognition of Commitment to Student Life (Valorisation de l’engagement vie étudiante): 3 ECTS credits
- Eligible roles:
- AEI President
- AEI Vice President
- AEI Treasurer
- AEI Secretary

- Eligible roles:
- AEI Communications Officer

Please note: This UE can only be chosen once per degree programme.
Involvement must be carried out on a voluntary basis within an ECAM LaSalle association, and must be approved by the Student Life Office and, where applicable, the relevant Programme Coordinator.
Mandatory workshops are organised throughout the year by the Student Life Office. Attendance is required for those registered in the recognition programme.
Once enrolled in these units, students are automatically entitled to receive a diploma supplement listing this involvement.
