The CVEC was introduced by the French Law on Student Guidance and Success (ORE Law), enacted on 8 March 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the CVEC?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is an annual contribution required from students enrolled in initial higher education programmes. For the 2024\u20132025 academic year, the contribution is \u20ac105. The proceeds are then distributed between higher education institutions and CROUS regional student services centres to fund initiatives related to student and campus life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is it for?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The CVEC has been designed to finance actions that will help improve students’ living conditions. It is intended \u201cto promote the social, health, cultural and sporting welcome and support of students, and to bolster the preventive and health education actions carried out for them\u201d (ORE law, article 12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CVEC is designed to fund initiatives aimed at improving students’ living conditions. It is intended “to promote educational, social, health, cultural and sports support for students, and to strengthen prevention and health education initiatives targeting them” (ORE Law, Article 12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CROUS centres also receive a portion of the CVEC funds. These are mainly allocated to social actions for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
